Dynamic braking ... kind of like the speed-brake on a F-15, at least for a moment.

Oh come on now, that last couple miles an hour slowing down into a parking spot, or a rainy day at a stop light?

I did this mod but am mostly afraid to use it....
Course any time I do "need" it it's awesome

you could always just slow down that much quicker and then pull the ebrake and put the top up. oh well to each his own. but hey, i aint riskin a parachute.

it is just hard sitting in bumper to bumper traffic here in cali and having to hold up traffic to put the top down sometimes sucks..so that is why..no real reason...

I did this mod and love it. The brain for the top is under the dash on the passenger side. I cut the speed sensor wire so the top brain thinks you're always stopped and ran the ebrake wire to ground so the top brain thinks the ebrake is always on. I can't remember the wire colors--you'll have to search.

Most people on this site think this is the worst mod ever, as it takes all the built in protection away. I've had this for a year now and have had no problems. I don't put the top up or down any faster than about 15. There's nothing keeping our cars from swerving into oncoming traffic either so I think I can decide on my own when to put the top up or down.
