If you take care of the speed sensor and not the e-brake sensor you run no risk of accidentially operating the top. You'll just have to put the e-brake up 1 click (not engaged yet) and can then operate the top. It's great for stop-and-go traffic or pulling out of a parking lot (as long as you're not backing up)

Heaven forbid some impatient a-hole be held up that long and kept from rolling forward another 6 feet while "parked" in that bumper to bumper traffic!

^ have you driven in large city bumper-2-bumper traffic? say.. o.. Long Island, NY or... Chicago, IL? stopping for 6 extra seconds can get you SHOT on the 405 in LA...
