Default Question about engine bay layout

New member here, trying to learn the ins and outs of the S2000 while searching for one to purchase. Recently found a car that I was interested in on CL, but saw something a bit odd in the photos. The provided picture of the engine bay shows the battery mounted on the driver side: https://images.craigslist.org/00m0m_...Pg_600x450.jpg

From all the pictures I've seen, of both AP1 and AP2 S2000, things seem out of position in this picture. Also, it's being advertised as a 2004, shouldn't it have a gold valve cover?

I'm still learning, so my apologies if I'm missing something stupid. I actually didn't even catch it at first, but after realizing the differences and searching around I'm quite confused about what's going on with this particular car. Hopefully one of the S2000 gurus here can shed some light.

Okay, looking at it again, I'm thinking it looks like the engine bay of a RHD car? If so, this ad is clearly a fake, as the interior images show LHD and the car is in Kentucky. Ugh, I hate CL.

Yes that is an engine bay on a RHD car, both battery and all the brake stuff swap places.

Right. AP2s have gold coil covers, stock. And that is a RHD car, so not representative of the car that's actually for sale
