Default question about the exhaust

the stock exhaust system has two cans. and some aftermarket companys stay with dual and some convert to single. does it make much of a difference. And also the engine is only a 2.0 or 2.2 so why does it even come wih a dual system.

A dual is for "balance" in the appearance. A single will generally give more gains but will be significantly louder. Most people can't tolerate the droning of a single on this car.

True!! I bought my s2k with a apexi single exhaust and it's loud on the freeway and on cold starts. It's driving me crazy because because I can't stand the loud rumble sometimes. I also prefer the looks of the dual exhaust, so I'm saving up for a stock exhaust for the time being.
