question about plugs
i have recently ordered a comptech supercharger and before i put it in, i was wondering what plugs to go with. i found by searching that people recommended NGK R5671A10 (5820) and IK24 Denso Iridium plug. can someone please tell what one would be better or any other useful information.
thanks

I think the corect denso iridium plugs is IK22. I've check on some websites and that waz the correct designation. On ur part, pls double cx on my info before getting them. (especially when u are installing a supercharger)
Ik22 that would be correct for stock.

IK24 is what I run for everyday driving they work well when it is hot outside, this is one step cooler than stock. I do not experience engine bog in hot days. I could be wrong but I think that several supercharged owners are running even cooler with IK27's, which would be 2 steps cooler than stock and the electrode gap is narrow versus stock. I believe that keeps the spark from being blown out from by forced air.
I am asking myself the same question, because I just ordered a Vortech Kit on friday. I will try IK27's and see what happens. I already run IK24's.

Here is what I found, this will help you get into the right direction.
NGK & Denson IK24 or IK27 are mentioned in these threads for forced induction applications.

From what I read, the consensus brings me to, run the coldest plug you can without fouling. Denso Plugs cost more, but have longevity. NGK are cheaper and may have to be replaced more frequent.

CMiS2k, you beat me to it again
Bugga.....I just bought these bad boys only 2 months ago

Does anyone, know if they are suitable with the Vortech's kit?
CMiS2K, could the colder plugs caused your power loss?
My halo, i think, caused some of the power gain
(Halo plugs, VAFC and AEM gave me 20hp...don't ask me which one works)

additional info that I found last night was get some spark plug gapping pliers and re-gap the plugs to factory specs. .044. Yes, the plugs are pre-gapped but many found that the gap was insufficent. The Ik24's that I have in the car now were not re-gapped.
