Default Question about S2000 ECU

I don't know much about Honda S2000.
I have two Lotus super 7
one with a Hayabusa turbocharged engine http://www.mjmturbos.com/images/bus004.jpg
I would like to fit the other one with the Honda S2000 engine. I am planning
to turbocharged the engine and use an electromotive Tec 3.
Can someone tell me if I am better off using the stock ECU or standalone ECU?
I am concern that the Tec 3 don't have a probition to work with the VTEC system.

i say go with standalone like aem ems.

obd2 are not programmable, if you use stock ecu you need to put piggybacks like vafc, safc, or greddy e-manage.

why do you say that? It really depends on his purpose. If he is happy with the F20C and doesn't need to eek out that extra bit of hp. It'll be simplier to run the stock ECU. If it can run with less hassle there is no reason not to use the stock ECU.

well, because he said he was going to turbocharge the engine.

I dont think stock ecu and piggyback is the right way when you are spending that much money already.

ahh yes, I didn't see the turbocharge line. In that case aftermarket ECU is the way to go.

Well, my question is about the operational of the Vtec. Since I don't know much about this engine/ecu, I am asking... if I use the standalone is there anything that I have to do to the ECU to sych to the VTEC operation?.

First off, I am not sure if you have done extensive research but, the F20 engine is not a cheap engine to turbocharge. Depending on the level of boost that you plan to run, the cost of turbocharging an engine would run you at least 7K. 7k is just for a turbo kit, standalone and tuning.

I already have the F20 engine. I am not worry about the turbo cost. Its a secondary or not a priority about the cost.
Please read my last post and help me answer my question.

I will appreciate any help!

I'm not sure if the Tec3 controls VTEC, I am sure you can call them and find out. I assume you are familiar with the Electromotive system, if not the AEM EMS would be an easier choice as it is plug and tune. It uses the existing wiring and comes with a map that will start the engine.

Ok...lets reverse my question.
Is the stock S2000 ECU control the Vtec system?

Thanks again
