Default Question for the guys running Spoon 4pot calipers

I've bled the hell out of the calipers by going around according to procedure in helms several times. I've also installed goodridge lines and noticed after the caliper and lines change that the pedal travels more for initial brake feel. Before the caliper/lines went in, upon pressing in the brake pedal, a very responsive and crisp bite of the pads could be noticed, however high speed braking (100mph-0mph) was not so comfortable. However, after the calipers and lines, braking is very confident and comfortable from 100-0 after the pedal is pressed further than before. Due to limited funds, I installed the OEM pads in the spoon calipers, they were about 85% fresh and I had to machine off the tabs on the inner pad to fit the caliper. I had ran the spoon 4pots in my last car and didn't notice this much pedal travel before, is it that bleeding the system on the s2k takes longer??? I already spent about 2hrs with a friend bleeding the system the good old fashioned way that has always worked for me in the past.

buy the cheap brake fluid to flush out the lines, then upgrade to the Motul 600 or ATE Super Blue. But to make sure you are bleeding these correctly, you are starting on the left front, right front, right rear then finally right rear? correct? and are you using anything similar to speedbleeders/solo bleeders with the spoon caliper?

forgot to mention that I ran motul 600 in conjunction to bleeding to get out all the stock honda fluid. I bled the system according to helms, starting with driver front to passenger front, passenger rear and finally driver rear. Did not use any speedbleeders, did it the old fashioned way with buddy man'ing the brake pedal while I man'd the bleeder screws. And I know I didn't let any air back into the calipers. On the 4pots, does it matter which piston side is bled first? the back side pistons(back of rotors when viewing fromoutside) or the frontside pistons?

How many miles have you put on the bled brakes? It usually takes a few days to regain the pressure (this is my perception of how it feels) in the system.

I've only driven the car maybe less than 50 miles since the swap. I need to drive it more and I guess I'll bleed again.

I would be interested in knowing the piston sizes in your Spoon calipers . If you can give me some information I might be able to answer your questions .

no worries, bled the brakes one more time, seemed like those few pesky little air bubles that were about the size of a few grains of salt where causing the slight mushy feeling. Brakes feel damn good now.
