Default Question on installing X brace.

I haven't done it yet and don't want to run into problems. Is it better to have the front wheels supported on ramps, or just use jack stands at the proper locations with wheels hanging?

Either way should be fine.

If you find it difficult to line up the brace, as I and a number of members have found out, you can loosen those bracket where the brace meant to go on. You will know which one when you are underneath the car. It will make things easier

Also make sure your car is as level as possible so that the xbrace is not stressed while putting it on...thanks to Xviper for that tip ....

It took me ten times longer to jack the car up and put it on stands than it did to put the brace on. I'm not extremely mechanically inclined, and it took me a total of about 20min to jack-up and install. Took stock bolts off and put new one in.

It took me forever. I stripped the thread in the sub-frame or whatever that piece is you mount the brace to. Turns out it was a nut welded to the car. Had to tap a new thread in the nut and run a new bolt in there. Big trouble, but the results are definitely noticeable.
