Does it have a release hook mechanism like the OEM hood?

Yes... but you're gonna have to get some hood pins. The front right part tends to lift up a bit on some hoods. Hood pins would correct that.

they will set you back anywhere between $35 and $85 depending on what kind you get. I think Sparco hood pins only run about $45. not sure where they mount for this hood.

I didn't want to drill holes into my car, so all I did was remove the 2 rubber bumpers that hold up the front part of the hood. Just screw them out, and theres 2 holes from the factory you can mount the posts of the hood pins. Then you gotta drill the hood itself, and mount the pins. It's pretty simple... Next time we meet up, you can take a closer look at it.

James, are you thinking of getting a CF hood? Dang Fr bumper, exhaust, intake and this..... going all out... gots to check out your car.

I have a question that kinda goes with this. How does the windshield fluid nozzle get attached? Or do you just leave it off.

Theres holes already drilled in the hood for the windshield nozzles. But, holes are a lil big. The nozzles don't fit tightly.... probably need to superglue them on or get a body shop to put em on somehow. This is for the J's hood, not sure about the Fiber Images...

How much does the J's hood run approximately? It doesn't come clearcoated either, how much extra is it for that?

Hmm... I thought it came with clearcoat... but it doesnt look that great. I'm going to have it clearcoated again when I get my body kit on. I'm sure its not gonna cost more than $100... hopefully.
