Just as an update on the misalignment of the hood...

When I installed my J's hood, I noticed that the latch on the hood sits to the left of the actual hatch. Wasn't exactly aligned. So today, I tried taking the latch part off the hood, and just used the hood pins. And guess what? No more lifting on the right front part of the hood. Apparently since the latch wasn't properly aligned with the locking latch on the car, it pushed the hood to the right, causing it to look misaligned. So it was an error on my part installing it. The hood fits fine. Although, the entire hood would look better if moved about 2 millimeters to the left, but I'm just being anal.

Tomorrow I will try drilling the latch that comes with the hood, so that I can move it around and get it to fit perfectly centered on the actual car. Will report back with results... I'm positive it'll look aligned.

The latch mechanism on the car side is adjustable too, try that before "The Drilling"

you also pay for that. for a sticker price so high, the mugen hood should not have any weaknesses.

exposed carbon fiber panels are often clearcoated to fill tiny pin holes in the resin that mar the finish.

Ok... I have to report back on my "ill fitting hood". I'm just an idiot. I finished messing with it a lil bit, and now it fits perfectly. Only thing I had to drill was the latch part on the hood. Just made the holes a lil bit bigger, so that I can get it to align perfectly with the latch on the car. I'm happy to say, I'm now extremely pleased.

Just wanted to post the results.... I didn't want a would be buyer to read this post and be like, the J's hood doesn't fit perfectly, and I won't purchase it. It fits perfectly.
