Sorry for the delay......

If you have a MIL:
Push and hold the trip button, turn the ignition switch ON (II), and hold for MORE THEN 10 seconds..

Blink Pattern:
At 5,900 to 6,100 miles the MIL will blink when the ignition switch is ONII.

At 7,400-7,600 the MIL will come on and remain illuminated ( I stand corrected to my earlier post...MIL does indeed blink).

Read the manual more carefully. It says..." To reset the maintenance required indicator, turn the ignition switch to the lock position, then press and hold the trip meter reset button WHILE YOU TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH ON. CONTINUE HOLDING THE BUTTON UNTIL THE INDICATOR RESETS (THE INDICATOR LIGHT GOES OFF)"

PS, the all caps portion is to indicate the part of the process you are missing, I'm not yelling at you.
wow it does not say that in my manual. Strange.

My maintenance required indicator will not shut off. I have done the reset 15 times. Has anyone else had this happen? For the heck of it, I tried the ODBC-II test and of course it shows zip.

I guess I will go disconnect the battery and hope for the best.

I have reset it before with no problem. The shop manual has no more details on it than the owner's manual.

Thanks

Lou

After disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes, the light still came on, but then it re-set normally. Must have been a freak thing.
