Hehe, not sure how to describe the sound I hear, but on my car (in which I just tested out the magical land of VTEC and am thoroughly AMAZED), ever since I got it 620 miles ago, I've noticed that after a while of driving the car, on the upshifts, while the clutch is (briefly) slipping I hear kind of a weird, subtle clicky fart. Hehe, again, not sure how to describe it. After owning Civics and Fieros and never hearing that on upshifts, just curious if this is normal for the S2k or abnormal? Thanks!

I think i may have that noise too, i'd describe it as the clutch/engine/gearbox (??) sort of growling a bit just when engaging the clutch. It hasn't gotten any worse, so i thought it's one of those myriad little noises you can't hear in a normal car but probably exist anyway.

I'm not sure that is normal. Might want to have it checked at the dealership. Not that they ever know anything (at least in my experience), but it's probably worth having documented in case it leads to premature failure of something just after the warranty expires.

Thanks for the responses guys -- I too was thinking it was probably part of the car's character, but I have seen your posts before, Rev -- you seem like you always know what you're talking about.... So I'll go have it checked out soon. Thanks!
