Default Quick RPM question...

hey i'm just wondering is it normal that a s2000 remaining at around 1000-1100rpm while at a stop, stop light, or when it in neutral? and also i just took out the throttle body shouldn't i suppose to place some oil or lube somewhere before reinstalling it?

To the OP: What rpms do you think the engine should idle at?

Yup, it's normal. My '07 idles from 900-1,100 when warm.

yea... i found out the problem for mine. there was a air leak at the throttle body. idle should be 1000.. thank guys.

Mine usually idles a little under 1k probably 750 or 800ish but this all depends on weather. Other times its right at 1k.

I am having the same exact problem. I just sign into this forum to help find out what the problem is. But, unlike yours, mine rises even after i have removed my foot. I really hope that some one can anwser this question. It seems to be sticking.
