i got mu custom exhaust no muffler just resonator and tips and i was wondering if i use what the stock exhaust has that pipe that sticks out of the exhaust before the stock resonator will it quiet the exhaust down?

 

that penis thing is not suppose to quiet the the noise, it's just there to neutralize the buzz/raspy tone as far as i know.

you know magnaflow sell muffler and resonator for alot of sizes, without knowing your goal, setup, size of the pipe, etc i can't comment on that.

 

ok i have 2 1/2 inch piping with magnaflow resonator no mufflers i want to quiet it down somehow witout adding mufflers its buzzing alot and i think ill try to add that penis thing to see if itll get rid of some of the noise and drone

No. Volume suppression requires some sort of muffler, not just the penis thing, that just reduces resonance at a certain RPM.

any muffler FTW.......no muffler is just plain RETARDED. your car must sound just like a nsx i saw at a gas station. dude was acting all hard, system blasting while he gassed up. his system sounded like ass. then he starts his ride and revs the piss outa it. so loud and sounded like shit. gets on the road and winds out 1 and 2. totally ruined the car. sounds like its a POS.

learn from his mistake. ADD A FARGIN MUFFLER.
