I would have to think that the section on the stock exhaust is a particular length that was calculated to reduce resonance. I don't think you could just pick a length, weld it in there, and have it acutally do anything. I would be willing to bet you would have to run a frequency test at different RPM's and test different lengths to get any sort of reduced vibration sound from the exhaust.

Such a horrible idea. The exhaust you're running sounds like ass and you might drop a valve. There isn't enough backpressure with no mufflers. Trust me. I've run tons of setups:
- stock exhaust
- stock exhaust minus the resonator
- 3" cat-back with resonator
- 3" header-back with resonator
- 3" header-back no resonator
- open header

Just please don't run your car with no mufflers.
