Random Electrical Issue Causing Engine To Stall

Just as a follow up, I have put just shy of 400 miles on the car since I discovered the spot on the wiring harness and have had no further issues. Probably one in a million chance of this happening to someone else, but if you ever drop the engine with the harness still connected, double check that the harness is properly secured out of the way of the clutch pedal

Excellent work! If nothing else, hopefully you've inspired others that when they have a perplexing issue, stop, think, look. Think some more. Try random seemingly unrelated things. Look some more.

For something like this, being an S2K expert might not have mattered. Being observant, inquisitive, experimental, thoughtful, these were the critical qualities. Such may be the case for someone elses issue.

If you have a weird issue, dont give up. Think outside the box. You can do it!
