My reader doesn't have that capability... it's one of those cheap ones. How much would one cost?

Search for a scanner that reads live data, and reads freeze data.

Id imagine $250-550.

it's good that you point this out. but i'd rather get some answers via pm so i don't "hijack" his thread. and if i do find a solution i'll let the op know what i did coz i want to "return the courtesy". ya!
