Hey guys, I'm trying to replace my soft top but see conflicting information on whether the rear bow is supposed to be under or inside the Velcro flap. I have a 2002 if that makes a difference. I believe my bar was under the flap before.

 

Well since no one answered, I kept it outside and I think it's fine. I just had the confusion because apparently there's a thread where someone got their's installed at a dealership and they told him that it's supposed go between the velcro now.

 

If it's the bar I think you mean, the bar should be exposed all the way across. It should not be covered by the cloth.

If it is not positioned correctly, the bar will wear holes in the top.

The cloth is a rub protector, and should be between the bar and top.
