Default Rear crossmember bend

I bought my car used, and it has a little wreckache in the back. Had to buy new trunk and floor pan for it.
Now that i'm thinking, don't know if this will effect my driving but I have 2 pictures.
I have a bent in it, don't know how to explain it but I have 2 pictures that I made.
I tried straighten it a bit, but don't know if it still messing up my geometry of the suspension or so. Or maybe if a buy a new brace "the bend one" i think neuspeed has them, that it will maybe fix my prob.

Thank you

Ricardo

I have "redesigned" each of the pieces in the second photograph via some spirited driving. While my sub-frame is not as dented as yours(mine has the bottom flattened), I don't believe it should affect the car adversely so long as everything lines up and the desired alignment can be achieved.

As for the 3-sided cross-brace, the leading edge on mine has been bent back enough to prevent access to the bolts securing it. I have not felt any adverse effects from that issue either. But your car has been wrecked(mine, too ), so to be sure, I would have it checked by a professional.

Thx for your reply.
I did indeed ask a prof, and he just said that as long as everypart is secure bolted to each other and your wheel alignment is already there will be no probs.

The thing is my motor is still NA with amuse exhaust and aem cai. 18" wheels and 265 in the back toyo tires. And in hi speeds i feel the ass of my car moving a little. So thats why I wanted to know if this was the cause of it, or its just normal.

At speed? 100mph? 120mph? 140mph? Straightline, curves, or both? Alignment not aggressive enough, maybe. I'm just now starting to roll on 18's. There is definitely a difference between 17's and 18's. I feel everything(relatively speaking). I also switched from T1-s's to KDW-II's for tires- same widths... different profiles.

Actually the track guys might be better able to answer your question as to what to check for and recommend possible solutions. But try the "search" feature first... sometimes they get a little testy.
