Rear differential fluid?

Rear differential fluid?
Ok guys I recently did the ap1/2 conversion. I have a 02 Sebring s2000 and had a ap2 tranny driveshaft and differential put in but today I flushed out the diff and the gear oil was dirty red like ATF fluid. Any thoughts on what it could be?

The LE 607 differential fluid that some S2000 owners are using is a red fluid and can look exactly like "dirty" ATF fluid, new or used. Ask the original owner if LE 607 or 1605 gear oil was in the differential when you got it. If you saved the fluid, you could send it off the Blackstone Labs for a fluid analysis.

I put this stuff in today. What came out of the rear end appeared to be green. The drain plug was probably about as dirty as people describe. Tranny fluid was clean as expected. This is first service since owning the car, I've only had the car for 1k miles. The car has 34k miles
The hardest part for me was finding a 23mm tool i (I have everything else) to remove the filler plug. Is the bottom plug really a standard size bolt? I thought japanese cars use metric everywhere...strange.
Anyway the car shifts way smoother not that it was bad before. Things are much quieter. This stuff was kinda pricey. Tho
Anyone have comment on amsoil signature series motor oil? I think it should be great for a daily driver and good mileage.

The amsoil ATM 10W30 oil is good. Pricey, but good.

The fill plug is 23mm and metric. The drain plug I wanted to think was 24mm but not quite, it was more like 23.75mm/0.9375" per my electronic caliper. The 15/16 socket is what I used to remove the drain plug. I thought using a 15/16" on a honda was weird

It is likely LE fluid like listed above.
ATF has a definite smell that is easily determined if you've ever used ATF in the past, gear oil has a definite smell as well and they are quite different. Some Honda fluids are red coloured, but you don't want those fluids in your diff, they were accidentally used in the past by some dealers.
