Rear End / Diff Problem. Need Help
I have an issue that someone in this vast expanse of S2K knowledge might be able to set me straight on.
Scenario:
Took my supercharged S2K to Talladega a while back for the SE Supermeet and flogged the diff. It was stock, so I wasn't surprised. I found out later after removing it and disassembly that the LSD was flogged. The gears appeared to be ok. I've done all the work on the car myself, but know my limitations with the differential. I picked up a new Quaife and took the LSD and rear to a local mechanic with some Honda know how. The gears have always had some whine after that. I even took it back and had it re-meshed, but it never resolved the issue. To be honest, I doubt they even opened it up again. I'll never know.
After this (and this has been some time), the car never seemed to shift as smoothly and more insidious is this: I removed my rear Brembo rotors as they seemed to be warped. I assumed they had been warped at the track. I removed them and installed the OEM's again. Sure enough they were smooth. Now after having the Brembos turned, the OEMs feel warped after a couple weeks. Something is out of whack with this rear end and am wondering if it is the way it was remounted, the gearing, or what. When braking..it's wop wop wop wop wop.
I'd like to know if anyone has any experience or opinion on this. Might be time for one of those purty puddymods.
Thanks guys.
Steve

Sounds like 2 separate issues with the diff and the brakes. Any other brake mods?
Incorrect backlash on stock gears will whine. 4.57's whine normally. What ratio/gears are installed?
