Default 911! ... knock in engine .... HELP! SOS

hey i have an s2000 w/ 90k. we were driving and i down shifted to a lower gear to high in the RPMs. now when we drive @ 3000rpms its a knock from the engine, not in a certain gear and ive seen this thread type before but have not seen any definate answers on some topics.

a lil gas gives a loud knock, it goes away slighly with a lil more gas or none .. but its still there. and we revved the engine while under the hood and its loud up-top and below. '

any ideas???? i need help pleeeeeassssse....

ill post one up as soon as i can ... but for my sake, can we describe some possibilities?
i may have been over the 9k mark, closer to 10k maybe.

from over revving...maybe you spun a bearing. just a wild guess though sorry dude. you might need to overhaul the engine.

Hey a couple weekends ago i accidently shifted from second at redline to first at the track while in a corner. The cars still perfect so keep your hopes up it could be something simple and the engines fine. Please add more details on the noise and when and where exactly its coming from.

maybe or could be just the ever famous TCT only. very simple to repair. need some video.

the noise sounds to be more from the top end .. it really loud when my head is over the engine and reving it by hand. we nursed it back to the house at 3k the whole time on the parkway. the noise is through all RPMS, but i only dared to go to 5k no further after. and it doesnt happen in any specific gear, its knocking in neutral as well.

no CEL .. yet
no engine light, no idiot lights at all.

any thing else i need to clear up please lemme know

when it happend we were on the parkway and some one cutus off and jammed on the brakes ... freaked and downshifted only to hear the cluch grab and engine spin really fast.

You blew your engine... Read up on over rev that's what happened. Since you kept driving it I bet the whole engine is toast now not just the head. Sorry to hear.
