Default Rear End Noise

Hopefully someone can answer this for me. I have a noise that is coming from the right rear. I happens when the clutch is let out mostly from a standing stop, but will also happen when shifting into 2nd. We hae looked to see if it eas from the brake pads, the rotor the axle, the cv joint and the wheel bearing. The back of the bearing looks like it might be burned, but there is no play in the wheel. The car has about 25K miles and is a 2001. I am extremely careful with the car, however I do drive it the way it was designed to be driven. We put some antis-seize on the ears of the brake pads and also on the back of the bearing. It seems to have stopped for the time being

what kind of noise is it, a clunking, whine, rubbing? it can be many things so it helps if we know the sound its making. its possible it cold be your cv joint or a bad wheel bearing. try lifting the rear wheel and dont spin it. but try to push on the top or bottom of it. if it moves at all its the bearing.

It is more of a clunking sound. As I said we check the CV, Bearing and brakes. Wheel is has no extra movement.

mine did the same thing.

it could be the axle spindle nuts. Honda updated the torque spec for this very problem.

In my case, the area between the wheel and hub was very dirty, causing some sliding to occur (rolling on the dirt and debris).
