Hi I'm new to this board. My S2k is an '02 (my 1 st new car) and I have abt 800 mi. on it. After the the first 100 mi. I noticed that anytme I pass over an uneven patch of road or a bump, a sound that kind of sounds like a heartbeat (LUB-DUB) come from the back behind the driver's seat, even when the trunk is empty. Does anyone else know if this is normal or perhaps what it is? I'm going to call the dealer on Mon or Tues but I wanted your guys opinion.

Check the spare tire and be sure it's tight.

I just took the anything in the trunk out, the spare tire, and the jack kit and took my baby for a little drive. The sound still persisted. It sounds like it's coming from either directly behind the driver or to the left of me, from the rear driver's side wheelwell. I'm gonna call the dealer to make an appointment on mon. Any other thoughts out there guys?

check to make sure the spacers are off your springs. tighten your wheel lugs and look underneath the car to make sure there is nothing stuck... other than that.. you might just have to take the car in to the dealers to get a checkup.. i am sure its nothing big since you have such low miles.
