Rear End Vibration under Accel
Assuming this is going to be cv cups but thought I'd ask. Only getting this vibration at higher speeds under moderate to heavy accel. Really bad at 3rd gear and above between about 3500 and 6000 rpm, seems to clear up a lot when into vtec. Is this still likely to be the axle cups? I got vibrations when I first lowered my car about 30k miles ago, added spacers and swapped the cups then but I was getting the vibration at lower speeds. Is this just a new wear area showing up?
I'm no expert, but it still sounds like the axle cups to me.
When mine was vibrating, I swapped the cups AND added spacers at the same time(like you) and still had some vibration during acceleration. I left the cups swapped, but pulled the spacers out and the vibration hasn't been back.
Maybe doing both at once puts the cups back at a bad spot. I'd say pull the spacers and go from there.

If it is the common pitting problem then it may have pitted on the other side now if it has been launched hard a lot. When you pull the cups off you can clean out the grease and see where the pitting is occurring. Pitting on the edge that the bearing pushes against when driving the wheels forward is what you are looking for.
