Default rear lower ball joint

Has anyone removed the rear ball joint without removing the Knuckle? and what tool did you use to press out/ in the ball joint?

But to OP, yes, I have done it. I used the stanard ball joint removal/install tool rented from autozone to do it with knuckle still attached to car. Its way easier with it off the car, because the tool is very heavy and bulky, but it is possible. I just couldnt get the knuckle off the car at the time because axle was frozen in place, and had less than 24 hours to have balljoint installed before trackday, so I just did it while still installed on car.

I rented one from autozone as well, but there was not a metal ring that fit to press the ball joint out. Can you tell me which one did you use and how?

You either have to make your own, or buy a set of cups.

I circled #1 that I used to push out ball joint, slipped it over actual joint (since wasnt worried about ruining it). then used #2 to push new ball joint in
