Rear BJ removal from knuckle

Default Rear BJ removal from knuckle

anyone know of a good way to remove the rear lower ball joint out of the knuckle? Im installing some RCA's since the car is lowered

I have a 20 ton press and air tools to use but dont want to destroy parts in the process tools without a good method are useless. Ive searched a good bit on here, google, and the helms thanks guys.

are you talking about rear toe arms? if so, just smack it with a hammer...mine just popped out

Use the proper tools for the job. Some ball joints are very hard to separate.

Nope not the toe arm or a bj separator

I'm talking about removing the ball joint from the rear knuckle I got some advice from Scotty and looks like a big c clamp tool is made to push the bj out of the rear knuckle

Should be like other hondas, a c clip and 'pressed in' but from what I've seen never needed a press.

Hmm I didn't spot a c clip on the bj but maybe its under the boot ill check tomorrow

I had a good shop do mine. I destroyed a ball joint doing my CV cups, and then got new ones from HTG. The shop used a press and replaced it for like $50 in labor.

Yea, I know...paying a shop...bad. Still, I did do the CV cups myself...the only shop that was even willing to do it (all of the others told me that it was a stupid idea) wanted $600 to do it

I have a spare one of those. I beleive.. I pressed mine out and then when I got the ball joint it was already pressed. Fml. If you need it pm me. I took it off the RF but you should be able to use it on the back?
