Default rear shakes when accelerating passed 60-help anyon

hi i hope someone can help me with this issue, i changed my shocks and springs today and now my rear shakes when i accelerate passed 60. i've checked the springs to make sure they they are sitting properly and that the wheels are screwed on tightly twice. does anyone know wat else could be causing this shake that didnt seem to happen before i lowered the car?

There is a correlation between the failing cv's and cars being lowered. Since the axles are so short to begin with, lowering the car even a little might make the angle on the inner cv's too extreme.

if this is the case, would i best replace the inner CVs or modify the inner CVs? and how much would both these methods usually cost?

My car is bone stock, so I do not have this problem and cannot advise you. You may find an answer in the threads that I posted.

If your car has high miles, replacing the inner cv's may take care of the problem, but I do not know for sure. We'll have to wait for someone else to chime in.

If the shaking is the CV joints, another repair option is to switch the inner joints side to side. This give you a new load-bearing surface and may eliminate the problem. Since the fix is free (except for the labor involved), it's worth a shot to see if the CV joints are indeed the problem.

i just rang a mechanic and he said that i need to switch the driveshafts from left to right and right to left?
is this the same as switching the inner CV joints left to right and right to left?

I do not know the answer to your question, however on another note I believe j's racing makes a kit to correct the suspension geometry for lowered cars. Might be worth looking into.
