1/4" of toe in is good. Thats what it should be set at.

How did you re-tighten your ball joints

Not normally, but if you hit something, then most definitely.

ok i think i found the problem. I jacked the rear end up in the air and kept the tires on and then shook the tires violently. The driver side tires wobbbles up and down and side to side. So i considered the ball joints? i re-tightened them and it still does it... could my ball joints go bad? the car only has 25k on it.
Wouldn't this more likely be a wheel bearing problem?

This is a sign of wheel bearing failure and/or loose axle nut. Get it serviced asap.

i figured out what the problem was.. it was a loose axle nut... all i had to do was tightened it and it was fixed.. as for me tightening the ball joints, i meant i made sure the bolt that held the knuckle to the control arms were tight and the cotter pins were in.

And as for getting it serviced i'm pretty sure i can do it at home.. I even pressed in wheel bearings for the front @ home just using a vice and hammer. =P

Did you stake the nut? If it makes any creaking noises, you will have to remove the nut, apply grease to the surface area of the nut where it contacts the hub and re-torque it to 181 ft lbs. Honda has suggested torquing this nut to 220 ft lbs. It wouldn't be a bad idea to also replace both nuts with new ones.

If the cotter pins are in their respective positions, there is no need to check the torque on the castle nut as the shaft of the ball joint is tapered. Once the castle nut is tightened for any length of time, it take a special tool to separate the ball joint again.
