Recent alignement, can only get 5.0 caster
I'll keep this short. I went in for an alignment after a recent run in with a curb. Had it done at a local Sear auto center after doing research on recommended shops by other S owners in Vegas. Anyway, the alignment went well and only took less than an hour. Tech said that he checked if I had bent anything and he said everything looks fine (thank God) and he was able to setup the car to factory specs except for the caster. He could only get as much as 5.0 on the front left. The car feels fine, actually feels better now. Steering feels about the same with the wheel perfectly centered. I've read on other threads that most alignment shops run into the caster problem often since there's a special way of adjusting it on our cars. Question is, should I go to Honda dealer to get the caster up to spec or should I just let it be? The sears tech was very knowledgeable and appears to know what he's doing and so I'm sure he tried he's best to get the caster right. Here's my alignment as it stands right now.
Camber FL =-0.4 FR =-0.5
Caster FL = 5.0 FR = 5.2
Toe FL = 0.02 FR = 0.01
Front Cross Camber = 0.2
Front Cross Caster = -0.2
Total Toe = 0.04
Camber RL=-1.5 RR= -1.5
Toe RL= 0.16 RR= 0.12
Rear Total Toe = 0.28
Thrust Angle = 0.02
What do you guys think? Oh and BTW I called the nearest Honda dealer and they're charging $129 to do an alignment while sears only charged me $69 for the same thing.
