I noticed that with my top up, there's wind noise due to the convertible top not completely sealing with the windshield. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to alleviate this issue?

Should I try to add some sort of padding to make a tighter seal?

 

Buy new softtop strikers. This will pull the top in closer for a tighter fit against the seal. You can also try shin-etsu grease on the seal to plump it up some more.

 

I might need some grease for the rubber. Is there something I can just buy at Kragen's? Perhaps some sort of silicon spray?

 

new strikers won't, necessarily, work. Unless they have significant wear where the latches connect, they won't work.

 

If there were not significant wear, I'd tend to think he would not have a noisy top.

 

when you latch your top, pull up the ebrake and pretend you are trying to lower the top. Just do it for like a second, you'll notice the top will go down a little bit in relation to the top of the windshield frame. This helps it seal.

You can also try to tighten the screws on the strikers, or just replace the strikers.

 

The grease specifically recommended by Honda (Shin-Etsu) will make your seals more pliable and actually thicken up and make a better seal at the windshield. I would try this first since it will only cost about twelve dollars for the grease versus considerably more for the latches. The grease is available through any Honda dealer and several vendors on this site.
