I could be wrong but I would expect that you would want to do headers and exhaust to come close to that 300 mark. This is going to add another 2k to your price tag. So 10k should be a conservative estimate.

310 untuned per se. See sig for mods. They did have to bump up the Comptech-provided progressive FPR. AEM FPR is enroute and will be tuned via VAFC-II until I get the rest of the needed AEM EMS stuff. You do not need to go with AEM EMS, but it's better than the VAFC.

Per the suggestion of another Floridian, opt for the testpipe when you go FI.

would the vafc be ok for a comptech sc if I would install it later. I am about to get nitrous with a vafc. I can't quite afford the sc set up now. I am getting the ZEX nitrous kit and having it tuned professionally. Thanks
2001 with comptech intake.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Engine management system = how much $$? So, I'm probably be looking at 8 to 10 grand, and trying to find someone that knows what they are doing, correct? Anyone know a reliable tuner in south Florida?
you should try to contact bigpurp - he's in SoFla

Slater

I'm in Naples, you're welcome to a ride anytime. BigPurp lives in Ft Lauderdale. He's got a nice set up too.

Any relation to the Slaters that used to be with West?

Since you're going to be stressing the engine with FI, make sure that you have the updated oil jet bolts in the the car. They are not present in stock MY 2001 cars, and several of us installed them as a precaution. There are many threads on the subject, parts cost about $50, and it's about 4-5 hours of labor to do yourself or about $300 from the dealer.

youll get over 300whp with the comptech out of the box kit. Youll have to run the 7lb pulley but you dont have to change anything else!
