Default Removing Cats--->Turning off check engine light

I have a mustang, but my firend has an S2000 and wants to take off his cats. On mustangs, we have the OBD II computer system, and it allows us to use MIL Elminators which tell the computer that nothing is wrong with the exhaust when the cats are gone, thus turning your check engine light off.

my question for my friend is, do you guys have the same computer system, and would he be able to use this product in his car www.mileliminators.com ??? If not, what can he do to turn his CEI off after removing his cats?? i think his car ia 00

Yes, all cars since 1996 have OB2 compliant computers and can be fooled with those fake sensors.

However, an easier way is to go to a local parts store and ask for Spark Plug Non-Foulers. You get two in a package. Drill one out with a 1/2" drill then put both non-foulers together and thread your O2 sensor into that. Then when you screw it into the test pipe the O2 sensor has been moved out of the way and shielded from the direct flow of the exhaust. No code sent.

Total cost about $1.35

Or, the fault-free way to do it is with an 02 simulator like the Casper's...
