Default Replace retainers and keepers

Just swapped out some titanium ones back to stock ap2 stuff...


Do I need to do a valve adjustment?

It would definitely be a good idea to check your clearances.

Cam's coming out and going back in doesn't change the clearance. Though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and at least check them.

Seems pointless to NOT check the valve lash as the valve cover is already off and prudent to check them regardless of the cam removable not, in theory, changing any clearances. Decades ago I bent a pushrod in my then new SS396. Only found that one was bad. 16 new pushrods went in and valve lash checked as both heads were off.

You should back out all the adjusters before removing the camshafts, otherwise you will risk cracking the cam caps.
It sounds like you already did the swap now but it's probably a good idea to check the clearance either way.

Why??? You know they are wearable item now that needs to be changed... If you just used ap2 ones those are for life of engine
