Apparently my CEL bulb died out on me, couple of questions. 1) Does it take a bulb or? 2) how the heck do I even access it?

 

Are sure it died? Are you thinking it's dead because you hooked up a scanner that read some codes without the light being on? It's possible they were "pending codes" that wouldn't trigger a CEL.

Just wanted to verify, other than that I don't know the answer to your question

 

If you are sure it is out (I.e. Does not come on with other lights when ignition first switched on) you can change the bulb. I would get one from the dealer. You can see a great set of instructions on how to remove and work on the cluster at DJ's website. Google Qube Engineering and look for his install manuals; he sells LED dash updates. Pull up Ap1 Gauge Cluster/Support/Documentation from his site.

I wish that were the case but it does not light up once turning the car on

 

Sadly I am sure as it does not light up with the other lights. I will do that check out his installs.
