Reset ECU

I want to reset my ecu by discounting the battery is there a right way to discount it. like - frist then +?

Pull Negative off, wait a few minutes, put negative on.

Pull the Back-Up ECU Fuse for 3-5mins.

and Stealth is right, try looking around, searching, and the FAQ/DIY section next time before hitting new thread.
