Default Reset Maintenance

Is there anyway to reset the maintenance minder on the car? I have an '07 and it is currently at 60%. I tried resetting as the manual and people here suggested....key on ignition, press and hold trip button while turning the key to ON, and leave trip button pressed until reset. I did this but it would not reset....any suggestions?

okay..

put it on the oil life
hold the trip for 10 seconds till it flashes
let go and hold again for 5 seconds
and it should reset.

if it's only at 60%, why would you want to reset it??

I reset mine the first time without problem. The second time I convinced myself that something was wrong and went to the dealer. The car salesman of all people came out and reset it for me.
Moral of the story- It will reset but you may have to try a few times. Once you know it will reset, you will always be able to reset.
