One of the answers on an earlier post suggested taping off with cardboard the resonator box for more engine sound. I guess that would be the 2" x 2" opening in the bottom corner of the air box. What does the resonator chamber do and will taping it off hurt anything?

 

makes it quieter and wont hurt anything. btw, multiple posts/threads aren't needed.
