Hey Rev,
I really would love to hear your in depth insight on your 5zigen exhaust...
It is the exhaust that I am prob going to put on my car, so any important details would be greatly appreciated.... such as
weight
sound
gains...if any....losses if any
etc
thanks

That reminds me Rev, weren't you trying to get rid of it awhile back?

Yeah, I used to have an Injen intake on my car. Well, just about the time it started to get real hot out here in SoCal last spring/summer is when I got my 5zigen exhaust. Well, I started to notice the car just drove like shit. So I thought it was the exhaust and tried to sell it. I finally thought - well, I'll just TRY the stock intake with it. Must have made about 15 more hp right away. Since then I haven't been trying to sell it. Word from AKT Trading was that this was the only exhaust setup that 5zigen tried that made any power... I haven't dyno'ed it yet (I will soon), but it probably didn't make MUCH power. However, now that I'm back on the stock intake, I do believe it could have made 3-4 hp. Anyway, it's a nice system. Welds are good, quality is good, weight is light. It's a strange design though... it has a muffler that hides up in the bumper with no outlet - I guess it's for creating back pressure without creating a lot of resistance to flow. Anyway, the sound is very nice and not at all offensive or loud or anything. Actually, I take that back, my friends say when I blow by them at 8500 rpms it has a raspy blow-your-eardrums out jet airplane kind of sound. But all of that is outside the car. From inside (even with the top down) it's all good. And a little intimidation to others isn't so bad, is it? HTH
