Reving and rev limiter?
Hey, im still a real noob with my car, so i am gonna ask this. As for reving and over reving, the car does have a rev limited connected to the gas pump at 9200 rpm right? is the only possible way to over rev to do a mechanical and shift to a lower gear at high speeds (Mechanical Over rev) and/or is it not healthy at any time to let the tach hit red zone?
Correct... only way to over-rev causing damage is a mechanical down-shift (or, I suppose if you were coasting down hill at a steep enough angle to cause > 9200 rpm).
People routinly 'bounce' off the rev limiter on up-shifts :-) Its no big deal... Fuel is cut automatically.
Now go rev to 9k and have some fun!

and on the subject, i'd strong encourage you to look into this wonderful, lil mod by one of our board members.
it's one of the best investments i've made since i personally feel it's hard to gauge when to change gears by listening to the engine due to how quickly 9K comes, esp with FI.
