^ thanks for the response! Have you thought about the comptech header when you were making your decision? What was your opinion on it if so?

Comptech has been out of the market for a while, so I didn't consider it. I was a fan of their products a number of years ago - because they were one of the few available.

this has definitely been added to my list of products to buy. im pretty sure a laid back smog guy would buy that it is a "polished OEM header" especially with all the heatshields on. maybe if you get a chance slipstream you could shoot a pic of the header in the engine bay installed?

For those in California wondering if this will pass SMOG, the answer is Yes. I did so. My 02 was up for SMOG the first time this year.

Hmm, make me want to get one now. I would still like to see the header with the stock heat shield.

Here are some pictures of the heat shields installed on Rick's header.







As you can see - other than the color (due to the ceramic coating), the fitment and appearance are much like OEM.
