Right Hand Drive Conversion
I have looked at a JDM front clip, it just scares me to have to cut and re-weld the chassis, although I have seen it done sucessfully, I was just trying to avoid it. I figure this post would get flamed a bit, but I guarantee that every person flaming me would change their mind and give props if it was pulled off. The few RHD vehicles we have in the states get more attention than your usual LHD, they are extremely rare, and you have to be rare in order to win a show, especially with how big they are now. I see that nobody has done this on an S2000, and that would make my car stand out that much more. I am only pondering doing this at this time, but if I feel it can be done with 100% success, then I will propably give it a shot, I have a lot more studying to do before I buy anything though.
Look, you honestly have not thought this out. $1500 in parts? How much in labor? Is it worth spending 10k on a LHD conversion, just to get some props? To win shows that have what $200 prizes? Just a LHD conversion isn't going to win you a show, you need more then that.
I'd think the underestimated difficulty in this conversion will be rewiring the entirety of the vehicle. The firewall between the USDM and JDM cars is physically different, which is going to nessesitate either welding/cutting/replacing 30% of the wiring OR starting from scratch with fresh electrical. BIG $$$ and an ungodly hassle.
You could probably buy and import a used JDM S2000 for the cost of this swap in either time or money. Propably a huge waste if you do follow through with the project. Sadly, when you are finished, its still just an S2000 with some likely gremlins.

If you try to make a left turn and in a RHD car, if there is a car infront also trying to make a left turn, your view is blocked. Sometimes it is tough enough to peer around that car when you are in a LHD, but RHD, would be quite interesting.
If you have the time and money, I'd say go for it. You'll have to get used to shifting with your left hand and pay more attention making left turn plus a whole bunch of other things.

BBY, I can offer him one relief at least on the door locks. He could simply swap the door wires at the ECU/keyless entry unit.
That being said, you could make some mad mods to the car for the $10k+ it's going to cost you in labor. So, now you've just put $10k+ into making a RHD vehicle, when someone else with the same mod budget could actually pick up a true RHD vehicle, ship it, and still have a boatload of money left over to continue modifying. I give you props for wanting to be different and wanting to take on a huge project, but then I have to take a lot of that respect back once I ask myself WHY would you want to actually go through with it. I can't speak for others, but no, I won't change my mind about it ifg you actually manage to do it. I'll still be asking why.

. Try making left turns in a RHD car, death wish.
