Default Rough Idle, Low compression, CEL, Bent Valve?

Rough Idle, Low compression, Feels Weak, CEL comes on intermittently when I am not giving it gas (ie at idle or a long downhill)... my compression in one cylinder was like 80% of the other 3... I have 121k miles now (2001) and I have driven the car like this for about 40k miles... I had a "bent valve" fixed from honda at about 50k miles and it drove good for about 30k miles more before these same problems seem to be creeping up again... If it is a bent valve, should i bother fixing it again or would it be better to drop a new engine in (maybe a 2.2L this time) any info appreciated!

Pretty easy to put in new retainers and a valve. Costs a lot more to replace engine.

Let say your timing is at dead center, how can you bend a valve?
Your timing chain at the sprocket jump?
Then, you should have more valves that are bend.

what's a sprocket jump? i am by no means a car guy.. i haven't even changed my own oil in the s2k... i have found an engine on craigslist for $2000... that is cheaper than what honda charged me to fix the last valve
