After browsing the DIY sections, I will be cleaning the IACV today and also the map sensor and possibly doing the "wack" mod lol, thanks for the input guys, I will keep you posted, much appreciated!
This and a ECU reset should do the trick, I had the same symptoms when i first got the car too, oddly enough.

Later i changed the spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body. Make sure you do the proper ecu reset procedure, thats most important.

Well all last night and this morning the car ran perfect and smooth, today after my friend got out of class the car struggled again and at one point the car even stalled 6 times in one block. Would spark plugs help any? The car seems to not be misfiring or hestitating just can't hold correct idle.

Does anyone know if a 06 cat works on a 2000? If it does I can let him use mine and see if that helps or is the problem.

yeah, sounds like you have a bad IAC valve(motor), just go to the parts house and get you a new one, they're not the much, and installation is a snap.

Wouldn't a bad IACV eventually cause a CEL? Cause it has had no CELs at all

If your problem is purely idle, I would still suspect the IAC.
It can very well show your symptoms, and have no CEL.

First thing I would do is pull off the IAC valve and clean it.

as the car is in the process of stalling be sure also not to apply any pressure on the gas and just let the car stall on its own, and hopefully the car should then run fine as the ecu should eventually learn on its own.

New one installed and problems still exist and are noticeably worse when the ac is on, ecu was reset as well...any other suggestions?
