I'm just wondering if anyone is using royal purple in their S2's....and if so is it okay to use 10w40 even though the manual recommends 10W30??

i use royal purple on my06 and my friend uses it on his my03. i use 10w30 and my friend uses 10w40. both our cars are running fine. neither of us race with our cars. i believe 10w40 stands up to heat better so if you live in a hot place, it would protect your car better. i personally use it cuz it only cost $4.5 a quart and it's hasn't let me down yet. just my 2 cents.

i buy them at autobacs in so cal. it has been on sale for the whole month. every once in a while, autobacs has it on sale. when they do, i stock up. right now, a case is only for 54 bucks. i bought 4 cases already and i might go buy another case before the sale ends.
