Default RPM drop UPDATED

When i turn my a/c on the engine rpm goes down and some times shuts off. I've changed the IAC and still does it. Even without the a/c turned on it still wants to shut off. I've noticed as well that it doesnt hit vtec like it used to. I think the valves need to be adjusted again. think this could be the problem?

For all of you saying because it's so hot, it really isnt that hot. Florida is hotter than cayman

ANY IDEAS?

Thanks

Welcome to the AP1. I've heard Greddy E-manage and a tune can take care of this.

Seeing as though you are in the Cayman's, you need to consider the S2000 cooling combo.

Hondata Heatshield Gasket + Mugen Fan Switch + Mugen Thermostat

I would install the Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket for sure. It's only a $60 part. The labor is the hard part. While you're at it, when you have the intake manifold removed, consider doing the Mugen fan switch and thermostat as well. If you do replace the OEM thermo you will obviously need to factor in replacement coolant.

All three of these together creates a very noticeable positive difference in terms of throttle response and it completely eliminates the internal heated air bogging issue that has always plagued AP1's. This issue is extremely apparent in high heat/high humidity environments. Living in Houston, I am all too familiar with what you are experiencing.

If you think your valves need to be adjusted then get them adjusted. You haven't mentioned any CELs, only symptoms. We can guess all day just like you can. Or, you can do something and see if the problem goes away. If you think it's your valves then quit messing about and go get them worked on. Only then will you have your answer.

At this point I'm questioning how well your engine was "completely rebuilt".
