I am still NA and intending to get a final gear upgrade
I have done a lot of research and read a number of recent threads
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=123950
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=109356

I really want to get the 4.77 However, there may be a very small chance that I will get a S/C later on. The general concensus on this board is to get the 4.44 if I like to go FI later on.

How have you guys found the 4.77 gear with the S/C?
Was it hard to control traction?
Was it hard to keep the car in VTEC?
If you had the chance with the gear again, would you get the 4.44?

Many TIA

I don't think anybody has the 4.77 with a SC so an answer might be hard to come by.

Dan is correct - you are not going to likely find this combo. I am running a Comptech supercharger along with 4.44s and a Kaaz LSD. I have yet to find a set of tires this combo won't overpower.

Incorrect -- I rode in one on the track a week ago! Owner is on this board; I'll let him chime in if he wishes. However, I can assure you that the SC/4.77 combo was certainly not a liability on the track -- the car set FTD (fast time of day) both days it was there, against competition such as a race-prepped C5, a heavily modded WRX on slicks, etc.

Sooo much traction problem aldready with 4.44. It must be very difficult to keep the power to the ground with 4.77 then

So it seem like 4.77 is only good if you like to remain NA!!!

twohoo, did you know if he used race tyres or street tyres?
