Default S2000 Clutch issues, slave? master?

This is a problem (similar anyway) that I had with my unreliable
1990 300ZX Twin Turbo.

I had hoped Id never feel it again... but I do.

The clutch pedal pressure is inconsistent.
Normally the s2k clutch is a very easy and SMOOTH push, all the way
to the floor.

Lately, the clutch pedal is HARD to push, and the pedals feel is just bad.
The actual engagement point is the same. Its just that it is much harder to
push in now, and the feel is not good at all.

It SEEMS like this started happening when it got hot outside earlier in the
month. It also seems like when I rev the p!ss out of the car,
it relieves the clutch (somehow) and the pedal feel goes back to
easy, and smooth... temporarly. 5 minutes later of normal
driving and its back to the normal, hard to push action.

Whats going on here?

Have you checked to make sure nothing is impeding the pedal movement inside the cabin? Have you lubricated any of the joints in the pedal assembly? Have you ever flushed your clutch fluid?

Check all of those; it sounds like it might be an issue of a poorly lubricated release bearing and/or contaminated clutch fluid.

assuming your car is an 00' like it says in your profile, your clutch fluid should be really black by now and due for a changing. There are a couple write-ups on the procedure to do this so try that first as it is one of the easiest things to knock off the list.

Thanks guys, Will check the clutch fluid.

If I check it in the res, and it looks OK? (clear, clean)
should I still change it?

after 4 years with the same brake fluid in the master clutch cylinder, it won't be clear/clean. it will definitely without a doubt absolutely 100% be very dark brown or black.

take a look but we can almost guarantee it wont be clear. Change it out and you will most definitely notice at least a difference, if not it fixing your stiff clutch issue.
