in the middle of replacing my clutch and I got everything ready to drop the subframe. headers have been removed, driveline disconnected etc
I am stuck whether or not to touch the steering knuckle I believe it’s called ? Some have said it doesn’t need to be touched when lowering the subframe to the “service position”
picture to be attached
i don’t know if I should remove it and if so what I just remove the bolt there ?and separate the joint under the boot?
I haven't done it any time I've pulled the transmission and haven't had any adverse effects to my steering. However, to do it properly per the manual, lock your steering straight ahead, mark across the joint, then loosen the upper bolt, remove the lower bolt, and then slide the steering joint out.
