Default s2000 invidia questions

OK here is the low down guys

2000 s2000 silverstone....bone stock

My first question
1.) i bought a invidia test pipe, and i got it from www.ultrarev.com it came with no bolts, just a test pipe, not even any directions or stickers...my question is, do i use the existing cat bolts for my test pipe when i go to put it on?
2.) will my invidia test pipe fit the invidia catback dual? IM assuming it would being its same company and same year model for my car.
3.) Is there any dos or donts when im doing this, do i need any sorto f lube, adhesive between the test pipe, exhaust, or header? This is my first time doing a exhaust, im new to cars, ive only switched out a intake filter and change a tire im having a friend help me
4.) Anybody think ill have any gains i will be bone stock with the exception of a drop in K&N, invidia test pipe, invidia catback exhaust.

I used the bolts that came on the car with no problems.

Yes the testpipe will fit the invidia and will fit just about every other exhaust out there for the s2k

Make sure you have an open head I think 15mm wrench to get the cat bolts off. They are usually a PITA so take your time not to strip the bolts. My testpipe came with the little gasket thing to stick in between the catback and the testpipe. I don't believe there was a gasket between the test pipe and teh header.

You'll feel nice gains with the testpipe coupled with the exhaust. Its worth it

you just need to make sure you have a gasket between header and test pipe and test pipe and exhaust other wise it will leak and sounds bad. other than that you can use stock bolts but they might be short (happened with my hks exhaust) just got a set of longer bolts and i was done! good luck...let us know how it goes!

well heres the problem, it came with no gasket.......so im wondering if there already are gaskets between the cat and the header, the cat and the catback of my stock car? the only thing that shipped was a tets pipe.....

im gonna try and use my tire jack tom to get my car up and do it myself....if i can, if not ill have to pay some guy 60 bucks for a 20 min job

you should really get a new gasket cut by taking your old one if possible to any autoparts store and giving them the old one to use as the new one. if not i guess you can use the old ones if theyre in good shape. as for the lifting the car, are you just doing the test pipe or test pipe and exhaust all together? if you are just doing the tip you might be able to it alone with a jack but its better with a set of jack stands!

Ok are you suggesting i give them my old gaskets and have them give me brand new ones of that size? Or if they are in good shape use the ones already on my car?

I am only putting on the test pipe for now, i dont have the invidia at my house just yet....but i want to go ahead and put it on myself, but i guess without jack stands i cant get to the middle of the car so i will have to wait....and pay for it, or save up for jack stands

sorry that was unclear..i meant using the old ones as a template to cut out new ones if you want, but if you dont have a beater or just dont want to pay for new ones should be around $12 then you can use the old ones. as for jack stands...paying someone else $60 to do it when you could buy the stands for around that and use them anytime you need to do something or just buy them and return them when youre done lol! it works but its up to you!

There's no gasket between the header and testpipe. Honda used spring bolts so shouldn't have any leak issues there. The rear gasket between the cat and catback should definately be replaced. Just get another one from a muffler shop.

Replacing the testpipe is really easy. Just make sure you use plenty of liquid wrench or pb buster to losen up those rusted bolts.

There is a doughnt gasket that goes between the header and cat/testpipe. You must buy a new one or reuse your old one.
